What you will do


As an essential member of our team, the Security Installer operates on-site with our commercial clients to install and configure their Integrated Security fire and safety systems.

The Security Installer is also responsible for disassembling and reassembling equipment as necessary.

How you will do it

Install appropriate devices; disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed by the client or Johnson Controls International.
Work safely and responsibly to prevent injuries, property damage, and loss of unused materials while ensuring the work area is clean.
Contact clients prior to scheduled installations to confirm arrangements.
Prepare estimates in accordance with established guidelines or supervisor instructions.
Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and connection procedures.
Test system operations to the signal-receiving center to ensure proper service establishment.
Interpret building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required.
Coordinate installations with law enforcement/fire departments and maintain necessary records for emergency notifications.
May oversee installation teams on larger projects.
Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced installers.
Travel is required, utilizing the provided company vehicle and equipment.

What we look for
Required

A high school diploma or G.E.D.
Technical school training is advantageous.
Experience with electrical and electronic equipment demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with Fire Access, Burglar Alarms, and Surveillance Systems.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
Commitment to operating fleet vehicles safely.
Strong communication skills and excellent customer service.

Preferred
NICET Certification.
Access Control certifications.
CCTV certifications.
Experience in bending conduit.
