Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this capacity, you will be tasked with the design, construction, and installation of comprehensive robotic systems and automated process equipment across sectors such as aerospace, defense, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate should possess self-motivation, the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, and will report directly to the Principal Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the engineering team to create automated robotic solutions
  • Choose essential electrical components and software for various projects
  • Draft electrical schematics and CAD models for equipment and panel constructions
  • Develop HMI and PLC software for integrated systems
  • Incorporate third-party software into standard HMI frameworks
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of systems in the workshop
  • Support customer acceptance testing and final approvals
  • Facilitate installation and validation support at client locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Possession of a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Automation and Systems Integration Engineering Technology or a related discipline
  • Experience with control systems and visualization software, particularly Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Software
  • Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software such as SolidWorks or PTC Creo
  • Strong project management and multitasking capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Experience with database design and implementation is advantageous
  • Familiarity or eagerness to learn web-based development software is a plus
