JOB OVERVIEW

The Night Shift Front Desk Coordinator is accountable for managing front desk operations during nighttime hours. This role involves engaging with guests in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their needs are met upon arrival, departure, and throughout their stay. The Coordinator will address inquiries via phone and in-person, providing precise and timely information regarding reservations, hotel amenities, and guest concerns. Additionally, the role includes auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations to guarantee adherence to company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate guest check-ins by verifying reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Handle all forms of payment, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit transactions.
  • Manage guest check-outs, resolving any late or disputed charges as necessary.
  • Respond to and document all guest communications, including calls, messages, requests, and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to monitor room readiness for incoming guests.
  • Provide guests with accurate directions and information about the hotel and local attractions.
  • Generate daily reports detailing arrivals, departures, and special requests, ensuring report accuracy.
  • Complete required cashier and closing reports within the computer system.
  • Maintain strong customer relations by staying informed about in-house and local events to address guest inquiries effectively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior experience in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Not applicable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Position involves prolonged standing at a climate-controlled workstation.
  • Work is primarily conducted indoors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Majority of the shift involves standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Mobility is essential to assist guests throughout the hotel.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of files and office materials up to 25 lbs.
