Position Summary:

This role mandates in-office presence twice a week at our Boston location.

The successful candidate will possess extensive analytical skills, with a strong capability to consolidate and interpret various dimensions of competitor operations. This position requires the ability to convert competitive intelligence into practical insights and strategic recommendations, particularly for sales, marketing, and organizational decision-making. Key responsibilities include crafting executive communication materials, developing competitive analysis tools, and maintaining a system for timely intelligence updates, alongside producing detailed competitor analysis reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a system for ongoing competitive intelligence updates, equipping our organization with up-to-date information to enhance responsiveness to market dynamics.
  • Generate high-level insights for Verisk leadership, focusing on significant trends and their implications for our business strategy.
  • Compile competitor analysis reports that distill essential information regarding competitors, serving as a strategic resource to assess their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats relative to Verisk.
  • Conduct in-depth competitor analyses, encompassing their product offerings, services, and pricing strategies, including comprehensive win/loss evaluations and market trend assessments.
  • Create product-specific competitive analysis tools and quick reference materials in collaboration with marketing and product management teams.
  • Contribute to a bi-weekly Competitive Intelligence Digest, summarizing curated competitive insights primarily sourced from competitor announcements, providing a snapshot of industry developments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Approximately 7 years of experience in B2B competitive intelligence, ideally within the insurance or insurtech sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of the insurance landscape, including key players, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and a proactive approach to continuous learning and development.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the capacity to interpret and synthesize large datasets into actionable strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and executive presentations.
  • Experience in presenting strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, product management, and sales functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
Additional Information:

Salary Range: Minimum: $125,000.00 | Maximum: $155,000.00
Note: Annualized base pay may vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
