Retail Operations Supervisor - Chico's FAS

Position Overview: The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment. This position emphasizes our core values and guiding principles across all store functions, including overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective in-store sales strategies.
  • Accountability: Sets and communicates clear expectations, ensuring that both the store team and self are accountable for meeting brand standards and performance metrics.
  • Operational Oversight: Manages essential operational tasks including scheduling, inventory audits, and payroll accuracy, while ensuring smooth merchandise flow.
  • Financial Compliance: Conducts all financial transactions in accordance with company policies, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensures compliance with applicable laws and loss prevention policies, providing training to associates on proper operational controls.
  • Inventory Management: Oversees all inventory processes, including receipt and dispatch, ensuring optimal merchandise levels on the sales floor.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintains the store's visual presentation and organization to reflect the brand's image.
  • Team Development: Inspires and motivates the sales team to achieve sales and productivity targets, providing training and coaching on product knowledge.
  • Customer Engagement: Models and promotes exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Talent Acquisition: Assists in recruiting and developing a high-performing team, while fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail management preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
  • Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team building.
  • Knowledge of store operational procedures.
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers and staff.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant walking/standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing as part of daily responsibilities.
