Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate promotional activities and retail trends to optimize product placement, promotional strategies, and inventory management.
  • Drive competitive analysis and market research to stay abreast of industry trends and consumer preferences.
  • Influence assortment decisions, shopper insights, and category strategies by closely tracking performance metrics (KPIs) for new products, distribution, and velocity.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and consumer behavior to develop actionable recommendations to support forecasting and category management.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to create comprehensive insights and reports, building and maintaining dashboards and team reports.
  • Present insights and trends to internal teams and Sr. leaders, highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations.
  • Identify growth opportunities and deliver regular updates on category and competitive performance.
  • Establish strong relationships with retail partners to understand their needs and leverage their data for mutual benefit.

Requirements:

  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and extract insights from data to influence business decisions.
  • Expertise in data systems such as Luminate, Retail Link, MADRID, Nielsen, and Circana.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in analytics and ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and insights teams.
  • Proven ability to establish relationships and collaborate with retail partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree, preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in sales analytics, category management, or insights within the CPG industry.
  • Experience with retail analytics platforms and sales performance tools.
  • Experience working with Walmart and/or Sam's Club; other major retailers, nice-to-have.
  • Experience with volumetric and market share forecasting, causal analysis, pricing architectures, and velocity forecasting, a plus.
