Job Title: Vice President, International Accounting

Hamilton Lane is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to lead our international accounting operations. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the review, approval, and analysis of internal accounting and reporting, as well as ensuring the timely submission of compliance filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process for our foreign subsidiaries, including review of monthly journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and expense analysis
  • Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, training, and performance management
  • Review various reconciliations and filings to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of international accounting operations
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained for internal control purposes
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial deliverables
  • Engage with service providers to maintain quality and timeliness of deliverables and problem resolution
  • Validate results and perform control checks to ensure accurate results from service providers
  • Lead the monthly submission of local regulatory and compliance reports for our foreign subsidiaries
  • Coordinate the external audits for our foreign subsidiaries and liaison with external auditors
  • Interface with internal and external parties on assessing the impact of accounting and regulatory guidance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 6+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Combination of public accounting firm and industry experience preferred, including experience at a publicly traded company
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Familiarity with international compliance filings a plus
  • Experience in multi-currency accounting
  • Exposure to international accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with Workday Financials a plus
