Position Overview

Male Substance Testing Specialist (full-time)

This is an entry-level role that provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills for a career in healthcare, addiction recovery services, law enforcement, or emergency response. You will be engaged with individuals facing challenges related to substance use.

Averhealth is seeking a MALE Substance Testing Specialist for our testing facility. This is a full-time position requiring 35-45 hours of work each week.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, with an additional $75 bi-weekly attendance bonus for perfect attendance.

We provide all employees with:

Full-time employees (working over 30 hours per week) are eligible for:

Availability Requirements:

This position requires availability seven days a week, primarily Monday through Friday from 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM, with occasional shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Travel to another location once a week is also necessary for a shift from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM.

Schedules may vary due to random testing requirements, and you will receive your work schedule approximately one month in advance.

As a Substance Testing Specialist , your responsibilities will include conducting observed urine sample collections from patients in a Patient Care Center. You will check in patients, perform the collection, ship samples to the laboratory, maintain cleanliness in the center, and ensure that patients are treated with respect and dignity.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

This role requires mobility, including walking, climbing, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting (minimum of 10 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills. Candidates must be able to read, write, listen, and communicate clearly, follow written and oral instructions, drive a vehicle, and remain calm under pressure. Extended periods of sitting and/or standing are required, along with the ability to use computers, monitors, cell phones, and other office equipment extensively.
