Employment Specialist - Community Support

At Open Sky Community Services, we are committed to providing innovative and evidence-based practices to support individuals in achieving their employment goals. As an Employment Specialist - Community Support, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders to find stable, integrated employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with individuals and their collaterals to create and implement employment and/or educational treatment goals
  • Assist in obtaining vocational, educational, and skills training opportunities for individuals
  • Help individuals identify available transportation options
  • Develop generalist knowledge in other disciplines represented on the team

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
  • Reliability, willingness to learn, respect, and desire to see individuals thrive in stable educational, vocational, and/or employment opportunities
  • Experience working in vocational assessment/rehabilitation, job exploration, or similar case management field
  • Experience working with individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
