About the Role

This is a critical position for our team, requiring expertise in ASIC design and development. As a Senior ASIC Design Engineer at Cisco, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex digital logic circuits.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing high-performance ASICs using Verilog/System Verilog programming skills.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand chip architecture, implement, and verify designs.
  • Working closely with the Back-end team on timing signoff for seamless physical design closure.
  • Participating in specification and test plan reviews, and providing feedback to achieve coverage closure.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and root-causing simulation, software bring-up, and customer failures.
  • Performing diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests in the lab.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of ASIC design experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong Verilog/System Verilog programming skills.
  • Experience with interactive and waveform debug skills.
  • Familiarity with low-power design and clock domain crossings.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with:

  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell programming).
  • Networking knowledge (though not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of ASIC Design principles.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, depending on location and experience.
