Position Summary:

The Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store management, ensuring effective planning and execution of store operations, including inventory management, customer service, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, select, and retain qualified staff in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Provide comprehensive training and conduct performance assessments to enhance employee skills and address any performance gaps.
  • Communicate expectations regarding performance, safety, and conduct, while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels and manage store opening and closing procedures.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
  • Manage inventory to meet stock targets and oversee the replenishment process.
  • Facilitate efficient merchandise presentation and maintain store organization.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling and security protocols to safeguard store assets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of store cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure all operational procedures are followed as outlined in company guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One year of management experience in a retail setting is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret operational data.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with recruiting and employee development practices.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent walking, standing, and physical activity.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced retail environment.
