Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Executive to join our team in the Custom Property Western Region (CPWR) division. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for underwriting and marketing Seneca products throughout the West Coast region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain Surplus Lines Brokers License in California and other states as required.
  • Assess risk quality and compliance within company guidelines, initiating appropriate loss prevention actions.
  • Analyze coverage and limit requests, deciding on terms to offer and pricing business in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Use independent judgment and initiative to support business goals, maintaining underwriting discipline and bottom-line underwriting philosophy.
  • Document files appropriately, with complete underwriting thought process.
  • Verify claims information from prior years.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients to attract and retain profitable business.
  • Place reinsurance according to corporate guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of Property Underwriting Experience.
  • Experience working with wholesale brokers.
  • Excellent technical and marketing skills required.
  • Knowledge of market and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills required.
  • College degree or equivalent preferred, with ARM and CPCU designations a plus.
