POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Operations Executive (COE) is a pivotal member of the Cirrus Executive Team, responsible for steering the operational framework of the organization. This role emphasizes results-driven leadership, overseeing the manufacturing and supply chain divisions to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality aircraft to our clientele, on schedule and within budget. The COE will balance immediate production objectives with strategic planning for future growth and enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of enhancing operational efficiency, applying best practices in manufacturing and supply chain management, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Operations Executive will actively participate in shaping the overall business strategy. By utilizing their expertise and foreseeing future trends in both current and emerging technologies, they will significantly influence the design of operational and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, the COE will engage with the Executive Team on corporate strategy, mid-term planning, and annual operational objectives.

In collaboration with the Vice President of Manufacturing, the COE will hold comprehensive leadership accountability for all facets of the multi-line manufacturing and assembly operations. This includes overseeing Composite Fabrication, Sub-Assembly Operations, Machining Operations, Bonded and Aircraft Assembly Operations, and Flight Line Operations. In partnership with the Vice President of Supply Chain, the COE will also manage all elements of the Supply Chain process, including Shipping and Logistics, Production Planning, Material Inventory Management, Procurement, and Strategic Sourcing.

The COE will report directly to the President of Innovation & Operations, with a focus on performance management and results in safety, quality, delivery, and financial metrics for the Operations division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 20+ years of operational experience, combining technical and operational roles.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience at an executive level.
  • Proven experience in strategy development and financial oversight.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Extensive experience in production operations with a strong background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with supply chain logistics and procurement processes.
  • International business experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of FAA certification processes is preferred.
