Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer Role

Bangor Savings Bank is expanding its IAM team, driven by a shared purpose: to protect customer data while enabling peers to deliver exceptional experiences. Our approach combines a people-centric mindset with agile methodologies to fulfill the bank's promise.

We seek an experienced IAM Engineer to contribute to our progress toward sustainable IAM maturity. As a full-time IAM Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and enhance IAM systems and processes. You will play a key role in expanding role-based access control tracking and automation, streamlining employee access, and improving coverage while reducing manual effort. This position demands strong collaboration, clear communication, and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technologies like SailPoint IdentityIQ and Entra ID.
  • Design and implement workflows, RPA, and scripts to automate IAM processes.
  • Support the bank's IAM program, including add/move/change processes, access reviews, and audit evidence gathering.
  • Work with Infrastructure teams to perform upgrades and patching.
  • Document business processes and requirements with application owners, outlining IAM system integration.
  • Stay updated on IAM technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure effective solutions.
  • Contribute to a collaborative work environment valuing open communication, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.


Requirements:

You should have at least 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a strong passion for security and problem-solving. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. You should have a solid understanding of identity and access management principles, industry standards, and best practices, with a commitment to information security and ongoing learning.



Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $115,000 annually, based on location and experience.
