About the Role

This Senior Mechanical Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to lead HVAC projects from concept development to construction documents. You'll collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, site specialists, and interior designers to deliver cutting-edge, sustainable solutions.

You'll participate in project pursuits, market the firm's services, and serve as Engineer of Record for mechanical scope projects. Your expertise in energy modeling, calculations, and software tools will contribute to SMRT's integrated design and sustainability initiatives.

We're seeking a professional with strong business development skills, track record of managing projects, and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. You'll need excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to represent SMRT and engage with professional associations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HVAC aspects of multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships through outstanding client service.
  • Complete fee proposals defining scope and associated design cost for multiple disciplines.
  • Mentor and lead others in the discipline.
