Fire Protection Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Consultant to join our team at TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Summary:

The Fire Protection Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems for various types of buildings and facilities. This role will involve working independently on smaller projects and collaborating with experienced engineers on more complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement fire protection systems for buildings and facilities
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive project delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire protection technology

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in building fire/life safety consulting environment
  • Practical Revit experience
  • Demonstrated success in project design, time management, and technical/formal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Fire Science, or similar field
  • Demonstrated experience in building/life safety code consulting involving interpretation and application to a health care environment
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating code compliance solutions with authorities having jurisdiction
