Job Overview
The Radiological Controls Operations unit is seeking a qualified Radiological Safety Technician (RST) to join our team. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in an industrial setting, focusing on conducting radiological surveys to support site operations, overseeing radiological work activities, and responding to unforeseen conditions.
Key Responsibilities
The RST will be responsible for:
- Upholding radiological standards during work performance.
- Utilizing resources efficiently and making independent decisions.
- Completing a rigorous qualification program to gain extensive knowledge necessary for the technician role.
Qualification Program
The qualification process includes site-specific orientation and training, alongside the successful completion of a comprehensive 22-week course at the Radiological Controls Technician Qualification School (RCTQS). This program is designed to ensure that technicians are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience ranging from 3 to 7 years based on educational background.
- Demonstrate proficiency in solving algebraic equations, including logarithmic functions and scientific notation.
- Be capable of performing physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience as a Contamination Worker.
- Completion of the Radiological Controls Technician Qualification School (RCTQS).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Salary Range
The annual salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $105,300, depending on experience and qualifications.
