Role Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and units, ensuring proper alignment and fastening to assemblies or frames using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Position and adjust parts for optimal fit and assembly.
- Connect cables, tubes, and wiring in accordance with established manufacturing protocols.
- Attach identification plates and markings on components.
- Repair a diverse range of electrical and electromechanical devices.
- Analyze and propose assembly methods based on process specifications.
- Collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot technical issues and validate recommendations.
- May take on line lead responsibilities as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency with basic hand tools such as torque wrenches and crimpers.
- Utilize intermediate soldering techniques.
Technical Skills:
- Exhibit intermediate computer skills, including navigation within operating systems and utilizing scroll bars, mouse, and dialog boxes.
- Employ ALSTOM-specific databases, including SAP, for managing extensive data, inputting information, retrieving records, and generating reports.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry, manipulation, and formatting, including the creation and management of worksheets.
- Comprehend written documents and interpret technical drawings and wiring lists.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly work in a standing position and lift loads of 40 lbs or less.
- Occasionally maneuver in tight spaces and ascend/descend ladders.
- Handle tools and controls with dexterity and precision.
- Adhere to safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
