As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and maintenance of various components within our operations. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble parts and units, ensuring precise alignment and fastening to assemblies and subassemblies using a variety of hand and power tools.
2. Position and adjust components for optimal fit and assembly.
3. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring in accordance with established manufacturing protocols.
4. Attach identification plates and markings on components as required.
5. Conduct repairs on a diverse range of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
6. Analyze and implement assembly methods based on process specifications.
7. Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot technical issues and validate recommendations.
8. May take on line lead responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools, including torque wrenches and crimpers.
- Intermediate computer skills, with the ability to navigate operating systems and utilize software applications effectively.
- Familiarity with ALSTOM-specific databases, including SAP, for data management and reporting.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word for data manipulation and document creation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally required to bend or position oneself to access confined spaces.
- May involve ascending or descending ladders.
- Must wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear and safety eyewear.
