Job Summary

The Regional Vice President is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth and expansion of our RIA referral platform. This individual will develop and maintain relationships with channel partners, focusing on driving sales momentum for one of our financial planning teams. The successful candidate will work in a client-focused, team-centered environment in unison with Managing Directors to service the needs of the firm's high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Financial Consultants and Branch Managers to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
  • Foster positive channel partner relationships as an ambassador of Mercer Advisors, promoting our unique value proposition and services.
  • Grow and cultivate an assigned region through frequent visits to branch offices, phone wholesaling, and ongoing communication to generate significant referrals.
  • Proactively initiate business development calls and identify new sales opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Meet directly with channel referral prospects via in-person and phone/video meetings to bring in a significant volume of new clients and billable assets under management.
  • Work with Client Service units to develop client referral relationships, including meeting with referrals via in-person and phone/video meetings and ultimately closing opportunities.
  • Provide insight and information to become a valuable resource and partner for our clients and channel partners.
  • Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to company standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of successful sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • Series 65 or combination of Series 7 and Series 66 license required, unless candidate holds one of the following credentials: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC).
  • CFP designation preferred.
  • Comprehensive industry and investment management knowledge.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical skills.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in high-volume, high-energy environments.
  • Experience determining the needs of partners and prospects through probing questions, offering solutions, and asking for the right actions.
  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 75%.
Location

This is a remote position, with a preference for New York or New Jersey.

Salary and Benefits

Average annual salary range for this position across our locations is: $100,000 to $150,000. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors' incentive compensation programs.
