Job Summary:

The Medical Biller/Customer Service Representative will be responsible for maintaining a positive and helpful attitude in providing excellent customer service to patients, clients, referral sources, physicians, and sales representatives. This includes verifying benefits and coverage with health plans, sending out and obtaining medical necessity documentations in a timely manner, and communicating with physicians' offices, medical groups, MSO, and health plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify benefits and coverage with health plans
  • Send out and obtain medical necessity documentations in a timely manner
  • Communicate with physicians' offices, medical groups, MSO, and health plans
  • Maintain a daily follow-up system and check the starting and expiring dates of medical necessity documentation
  • Work on hold revenue reports, group projects, goals, and renewal processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience with medical supply companies
  • Knowledge of diagnosis and medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, and/or HME industry (preferred)
