QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of one year of full-time equivalent experience in service delivery to individuals with developmental disabilities (experience in a hospital or nursing home setting may be considered)
  • Valid Driver's License, car insurance, and dependable transportation for all shifts (mileage for client transport is reimbursed at 62.5 cents per mile)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in completing daily living activities, including personal care, household tasks, shopping, and social activities.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to each individual served.
  • Train and mentor both new and existing staff members.
  • Oversee daily activities and delegate tasks to staff members.
  • Ensure all client medical appointments are scheduled and attended.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records in client files, notifying the Program Manager of any significant changes.
  • Monitor client expenditures and keep precise ledgers to ensure timely payment of all bills.
