Fellow or Senior Fellow for Emerging Technologies and Global Policy

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Fellow or Senior Fellow for Technology. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for global challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Original Research: Design and execute research projects on the intersection of technology and global policy, identifying key trends and implications for U.S. national security, economic policy, intelligence policy, and foreign policy.
- Lead Meetings and Discussions: Organize and facilitate meetings with experts and stakeholders to explore the intersection of technology and global policy, and to identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate with CFR Staff: Work closely with other CFR staff to develop and implement institutional initiatives on technology and global policy, and to contribute to the development of CFR's research and programming.
- Engage with CFR Members and External Partners: Build relationships with CFR's distinguished membership, including those with deep experience in technology, and engage with external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
- Communicate Research Findings: Develop and disseminate research findings and recommendations to policymakers, business leaders, and other stakeholders through briefings, reports, and other channels.
- Represent CFR: Serve as a representative of CFR in various forums and discussions, including media interviews and public speaking engagements.
- Advanced Degree or Equivalent Experience: A PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in business, government, journalism, law, or technology.
- Expertise in Technology and Global Policy: Demonstrated expertise on issues at the intersection of technology and foreign and national security policy.
- Thought Leadership: An established record of thought leadership on technology issues.
- Strong Research and Communication Skills: Strong research, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience collaborating with others, working in teams, and mentoring junior staff.
