The Global Public Policy team operates across a wide array of functions and initiatives, encompassing government affairs, policy expertise, risk management, outreach, and partnerships.

The primary objective of the Global Public Policy team is to identify, manage, and mitigate political and regulatory challenges while fostering an environment conducive to growth and innovation for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement a strategic engagement framework with international entities such as the United Nations, World Economic Forum, and OECD, positioning TikTok as a pivotal collaborator in tackling global issues and enhancing digital policy dialogues.

  2. Build and sustain robust relationships with influential stakeholders within these organizations, including senior executives and policy specialists, to uncover partnership opportunities and drive cooperative efforts.

  3. Act as a representative for TikTok at significant global conferences and events hosted by international organizations, promoting TikTok's policies and initiatives while utilizing these platforms to highlight TikTok's contributions to the global landscape.

  4. Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Public Policy, Trust & Safety, Communications, CSR, Legal, and Product, ensuring alignment of engagement activities with TikTok's overarching strategic goals.

  5. Remain informed about emerging global policy trends and developments, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding potential impacts on TikTok's operations.

  6. Prepare briefing documents, talking points, and presentations for senior leadership to facilitate their involvement in high-level engagements with international organizations.

  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, tracking key metrics and outcomes, and regularly updating internal stakeholders on progress.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in global public policy, government relations, or international affairs, particularly in engaging with international organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and managing relationships with senior stakeholders in the public sector or multinational organizations.
  • Strong grasp of global policy matters related to technology, digital governance, and content regulation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex policy topics clearly to varied audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions, fostering consensus and building relationships within the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with international partners across diverse time zones and cultures.
