The Global Public Policy team operates across a wide array of functions and initiatives, encompassing government affairs, policy expertise, risk management, and collaborative partnerships.

The primary objective of the Global Public Policy team is to proactively address and mitigate political and regulatory challenges while fostering an environment conducive to growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and implement a strategic engagement strategy with international entities such as the United Nations, World Economic Forum, and OECD, positioning TikTok as a pivotal collaborator in tackling global issues and enhancing digital policy dialogues.

  2. Establish and nurture robust relationships with influential stakeholders within these organizations, including senior leaders and policy specialists, to uncover partnership opportunities and facilitate collaboration.

  3. Represent TikTok at significant global forums and conferences hosted by international organizations, advocating for TikTok's policies and initiatives while highlighting its contributions to the global landscape.

  4. Work closely with internal teams across Public Policy, Trust & Safety, Communications, CSR, Legal, and Product to ensure alignment of engagement strategies with TikTok's overarching goals.

  5. Monitor and analyze emerging international policy trends, providing valuable insights and recommendations to internal teams regarding potential impacts on TikTok's operations.

  6. Prepare comprehensive briefing documents, talking points, and presentations for senior executives to facilitate their involvement in high-level discussions and events.

  7. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, tracking key metrics and outcomes to inform internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in global public policy, government relations, or international affairs, particularly in engaging with multilateral organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders in public sectors or multinational corporations.
  • Strong grasp of global policy issues concerning technology, digital governance, and content regulation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex policy matters clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to devise and implement comprehensive engagement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and cultivate relationships within the organization.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with international partners across various time zones and cultural contexts.
