The Marketing Department at The Santa Clara University seeks applications for a quarterly adjunct lecturer position in Business Communication. This is a temporary position that requires teaching courses in the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in Business Communication, including Business Writing, Presentation Skills, and Networking Skills.
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Assign and evaluate student work, including papers, presentations, and projects.
- Provide weekly office hours for consultation outside of class.
- Conduct and submit course assessments as required by the department.
- Assign student grades appropriately and submit to the Office of Student Records by the designated deadline.
- Comply with university and school policies, including those delineated in the Leavey School of Business Term Faculty Handbook.
- PhD degree in Communication or Professional Writing is preferred; however, we value candidates with a Masters degree and a minimum of 5 years of business experience in roles that require effective business communication for success.
- Experience teaching Business Writing, Presentation Skills, and Networking Skills.
- Experience in the use of classroom technology and modern modes of communication technology.
