Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Physical Sciences to join our faculty team at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in Physical Sciences, including Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, and Earth Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Physical Sciences, including lecture and laboratory sections
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical Sciences or a related field
  • Experience teaching courses in Physical Sciences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Physical Sciences or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of educational technology and pedagogy
