Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Plant Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing site at Snapx. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and driving business growth through process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations: Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe plant, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Policy Development: Establish and direct plant policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Production Goals: Responsible for plant production goals, including meeting or exceeding targets and improving efficiency.
  • Community Relations: Establish and maintain a positive community relationship, fostering strong partnerships with local stakeholders.
  • Staff Development: Foster a well-trained and motivated staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure success.
  • Coordination: Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping.
  • Scheduling: Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Staff Selection and Training: Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct employee performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Meetings and Communication: Schedule and conduct plant meetings, ensuring open communication and transparency throughout the organization.
  • Quality Control: Responsible for the product quality control for the plant, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Training and Development: Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Working Conditions
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, requiring the use of safety equipment and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience managing in related food processing facilities.
  • Excellent analytical and PC skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work proactively in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
  • Performance management and conflict resolution skills.
  • HACCP experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and guidelines imposed upon meat, poultry, and food operations by federal and state agencies and authorities required.
