Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our derivatives refinery in Yoakum, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and driving production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe plant, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Establish and direct plant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Responsible for plant production goals, including establishing and maintaining a positive community relationship.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping.
  • Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings, ensuring open communication and transparency.
  • Responsible for the product quality control for the plant, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned, supporting the overall success of the plant.
Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, requiring the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; hair nets, beard nets (if applicable), hearing protectors, rubber work boots, and hardhats.

Loose fitting clothes, cell phones, and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.

Personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferably.
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing in related food processing facilities.
  • Excellent analytical and PC skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can multi-task and work pro-actively in a fast-paced energetic environment.
  • Performance management experience.
  • Resolving Conflict experience.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and guidelines imposed upon meat poultry operations by federal and state agencies and authorities required.
  • Plant Management experience: 1 year.
  • Food processing experience: 10 years (Required).
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
