Maintenance Manager Job Description

Carmeuse is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in achieving a higher degree of predictive maintenance and a high standard of quality repairs and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coach the maintenance team to ensure safe, effective, and timely maintenance is performed on Carmeuse plant equipment.
  • Provide safety leadership to ensure all state, federal, and company safety rules and regulations are observed by employees.
  • Interface with MSHA and other governing health and safety agencies as required.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA's) and daily morning production meetings.
  • Engage with direct and indirect reports to drive the site to the highest standard of maintenance performance.
  • Prepare and implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively.
  • Actively participate in weekly planning and scheduling meetings between maintenance and production.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the maintenance modules under the CMMS/SAP system.
  • Ensure correct, accurate, and timely reporting of information on all maintenance Work Orders.
Requirements:
  • Related Engineering Bachelor Degree, or Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years' progressive experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and background in maintenance and operations business processes.
  • Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proven in leading operational excellence through applying behavior based management.
  • Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills.
  • Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
