Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Strategize and plan program operations for a specified service line, serving as a resource for nursing leadership and the multidisciplinary team.
    • Develop and implement quality, cost-effective programs and initiatives based on current literature, research data, and practice standards.
  • Clinical Coordination
    • Coordinate the clinical care of patients with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Education and Competency Development
    • Collaborate with nursing leadership, direct care nurses, and members of the multidisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate education and nursing competencies for the service line.
  • Policy and Procedure Development
    • Act as an expert resource and consultant to the healthcare team in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • MSN, MHA, or Master's degree in the job-related field of work required.
  • Experience
    • 2 years nursing experience required; 5 years experience preferred.
  • Certifications
    • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state in which one works.
    • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required.
Physical Requirements

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stopping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently and have an intact sense of sight, hearing, smells, and finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate are essential. Must be able to be mobile within the healthcare system and other facilities. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patients and/or program conditions.
