About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified economist to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Applied Economics. The successful candidate will contribute to our econometrics and macroeconomics sequences, as well as offer elective courses informed by their research. The teaching load is 4.5 courses per year, typically achieved through 3 distinct courses a year. We value diversity and encourage applications from underrepresented groups in economics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in econometrics and macroeconomics, as well as elective courses informed by research
  • Contribute to the department's core curriculum and engage in departmental service
  • Develop and maintain an active research agenda, with opportunities for funding and support
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds and encourage their academic success
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Economics or a related field, completed prior to September 1, 2025
  • Strong research agenda and potential for excellence in teaching
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research
