About the Role

The Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) is a critical leadership position responsible for driving the College's fundraising and advancement efforts to unprecedented heights. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the largest campaign in liberal arts college history, the campaign, which aims to raise $1 billion to further position Colby as a national leader in liberal arts education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet and exceed campaign goals
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive working environment that promotes excellence and collaboration
  • Utilize contemporary analytics to inform decision-making and drive Advancement Office efforts
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward high-level prospects to ensure long-term philanthropic success

Requirements

  • Proven track record in comprehensive campaign management and fundraising
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
  • Minimum of ten years of fundraising and managerial experience
  • Flexibility to travel and a bachelor's degree
