Job Opportunity:

Colby College is seeking a dedicated and experienced coach to lead our men's rugby club program. As a key member of our Department of Athletics & Recreation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program, including coaching, team management, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement coaching strategies to enhance team performance
  • Recruit and manage team members, including scheduling practices and games
  • Coordinate team travel and logistics
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and college administrators
  • Ensure compliance with Colby College policies and USA Rugby regulations

Requirements:
  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience preferred
  • Previous coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for team activities

Working Conditions:

This position involves frequent travel, early morning and evening work, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working effectively with students, coaches, and administrators.
