Job Title: Donor Experience Officer

Colby College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Donor Experience Officer to join its Advancement team. This is an exciting opportunity to build lasting relationships with donors and create meaningful experiences through engaging communications and one-on-one interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve annual fundraising and engagement goals by actively building relationships with a portfolio of prospects and donors.
  • Leverage technology to build rapport, steward, and solicit donors in a personalized and donor-centric manner.
  • Utilize dashboard tools and data analytics to identify donors for targeted outreach and build relationships across the campus to connect donors with relevant partners.
  • Participate in outreach and follow-up for events and activities on behalf of Advancement.
  • Be knowledgeable of engagement and philanthropic opportunities across Colby for the purpose of informing conversations and solicitations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across mediums.
  • Strong knowledge of customer care and organizational skills.
  • Previous fundraising experience with demonstrated success in making direct solicitations and an understanding of the moves management process.
  • Professional conduct and appropriate handling of confidential information.
  • Willingness to travel and work hours outside the normal working day.
Working Conditions:

The Donor Experience Officer will work in a general open office and campus environment, with frequent movement and computer usage. Ability to move around campus and interact with faculty, staff, students, parents/alumni, and external constituencies regularly is crucial.
