The individual in this position is accountable for meeting operational targets within the Service Department, which encompasses the proficient management and development of personnel, financial performance, cost control, safety adherence, and seamless collaboration with other service managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company's vision and values.
The incumbent is expected to exemplify the following practices consistently: 1) Align with the company's mission and core values; 2) Collaborate with essential internal and external resources; 3) Engage in continuous personal and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, assess, and motivate staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Promote and uphold the consistent application of the company's leadership principles to ensure alignment with our vision and values.
- Provide necessary support and guidance to all personnel to maintain a strategic focus on stability, employee satisfaction, and growth.
- Oversee the scheduling and repair of customer-owned equipment to enhance revenue and customer awareness.
- Establish and maintain an efficient work order system to ensure accurate quoting, invoicing, and reporting, thereby enhancing the company's image and profitability.
- Plan, oversee, and manage service department activities to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and forecasts.
- Manage and optimize physical and capital resources to support the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Communicate and enforce service department policies to maintain consistency within the division.
- Encourage and monitor safe work practices to minimize workplace hazards and accidents.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing duties.
- Carry out other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in service management, particularly in the air compressor sector.
- Familiarity with construction equipment, tools, and their maintenance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships across various departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively interact with staff and management.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to assess complex issues and devise effective solutions.
- Proficient in directing and motivating teams to achieve specific business goals.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and experience relevant to the industry.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the air compressor industry and management.
- Five years of experience in coaching and developing personnel.
Supervisory Duties: This role includes responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training employees, assigning work, coaching, performance appraisal, and resolving employee issues.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
Physical Demands:
- This position may require extended periods of sitting and occasional movement within the office.
- Frequent communication with others is essential.
- Visual inspection of work and responding to signals is necessary.
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 lbs may be required.
Work Environment:
- This role may involve a fast-paced environment with unexpected interruptions.
- Regular indoor work around moving machinery, with potential exposure to various weather conditions.
- Noise levels may be high at times.
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals and high-speed equipment may occur.
