Surgical Care Specialist

Mass General Brigham, a leading healthcare provider in Massachusetts, is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg position at Salem Hospital. With over 120 beds and state-of-the-art facilities, including a new 64,000 sq. ft. Emergency Department, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team of experienced nurses, surgeons, and other medical professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. As a Surgical Care Specialist - Med Surg, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients undergoing elective and urgent procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg setting, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists, to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to address concerns and provide updates on patient status
- Participate in pre-operative planning, preparing patients for surgery, and managing post-operative care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes, addressing any challenges or issues that may arise during procedures

Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience, education, and certifications.
