Pink Taco is a fast-paced, full-service restaurant that prides itself on creating an outstanding guest experience through creative culinary dishes.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to assist in the oversight of our back of house operation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in controlling food related costs and labor costs.
- Perform daily line check and safety walk-throughs.
- Investigate and review sub-standard food with the BOH team.
- Monitor food waste and suggest ways to minimize it.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development and engineering.
- Keep the kitchen running smoothly and adequately stocked with necessary goods.
- Create an environment of trust and mutual respect.
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching/counseling, skill development, and terminations.
- Monitor and maintain highest standards of food quality and guest service.
- Manage staffing levels and controllable costs to ensure they are in line with budget.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 21+ years of age.
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience.
- Possession of or ability to possess all state required work cards.
- Knowledge of Windows MS Office, Open Table, Outlook, and back office reporting systems.
- Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting, cost of sales, payroll management, purchasing, receiving, inventories, and cost controls.
