Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the management and operations of a designated segment of the business. This role encompasses personnel management, program coordination, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to vendors, individuals served, and other stakeholders. This position will oversee our Extensive Support Needs (ESN) sites.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Supervising managers and staff through recruitment, onboarding, training, and continuous performance evaluation, providing feedback through both informal and formal channels.
  • Indirectly overseeing program staff via program directors/coordinators, offering observations, guidance, and direction.
  • Leading the development and implementation of organizational philosophies, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards for all services.
  • Coordinating staff training in licensing, county standards, state regulations, fire codes, and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Managing all personnel within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of a comprehensive training program for staff.
  • Engaging in survey and review processes, responding to inquiries, attending exit meetings, and assisting in formulating survey responses and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership on budgetary and fiscal components of the programs.
  • Promoting a positive and professional atmosphere among team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant licensing, certification, and regulatory standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining systems and processes that meet licensing and safety standards.
  • Facilitating the ongoing presence of choices in the lives of individuals served.
  • Overseeing the Individual Support Plan (ISP) development process and participating in team meetings.
  • Monitoring behavioral programming to ensure the use of least restrictive interventions and the preservation of individual rights.
  • Coordinating communication among team members to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring staff interactions with individuals served, community involvement, home environment, and person-centered planning.
  • Ensuring the overall safety and maintenance of the homes.
  • Providing input on organizational philosophy, policy, and procedures.
  • Participating in state or national committees as assigned.
Work Schedule:
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, including being on call during weekends and off-hours as needed.
Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing support and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills, along with a responsible, mature, and flexible approach to management.
