POSITION OVERVIEW: The role of a Multi-Unit Manager at Love's Travel Stops is pivotal to our enduring business strategy. This position involves overseeing various operational aspects, whether it be merchandising as an Area Merchandising Manager, truck care services as an Area Truck Care Manager, restaurant operations as an Area Food Manager, or comprehensive retail management as a District Manager. The primary objective is to enhance all operational facets within a designated region.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Multi-Unit Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Merchandising
  • 2+ years of Profit and Loss accountability across multiple locations
  • Willingness to relocate is essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership Duties

  • Inspire the team with a clear vision that aligns with Love's Core values
  • Build collaborative relationships with upper management and key stakeholders
  • Serve as a leader among peers in the field and with corporate headquarters
  • Conduct regular evaluations of store visits and provide constructive feedback
  • Set clear expectations and ensure store teams meet all brand and performance standards
  • Facilitate effective conference calls and team meetings
  • Actively pursue personal growth and development opportunities

Coaching and Development Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and retain top-tier management talent for the district, ensuring all positions are filled
  • Establish a robust succession plan to promote internal advancement
  • Provide training for store management and develop personalized growth plans
  • Approve salary adjustments and conduct performance reviews for management
  • Identify performance challenges promptly and collaborate with the Divisional Manager and Employee Relations to create resolution strategies
