We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Director to lead our individual fundraising efforts in the Bay Area. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and prospects to achieve our fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts fundraising strategy for the Bay Area, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors and prospects.
  • Build and manage relationships with major donors and prospects, including identifying and qualifying new leads and developing strategic engagement plans.
  • Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other development team members to achieve fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Plan and execute events and other fundraising activities to engage donors and prospects and achieve fundraising goals.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, including creating and implementing individualized cultivation and solicitation plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience in institutional development, with a focus on major gifts from individuals and family foundations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and prospects.
  • Proven track record of success in major gifts fundraising, with a strong understanding of donor motivations and behaviors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong computer skills, with experience using Google apps and other development software.
