POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembler I role is an entry-level position focused on repetitive assembly tasks to mass-produce products such as trusses and panels. The individual will perform the following duties:

  • Arrange parts in specified configurations.
  • Fasten components using bolts, clips, screws, or adhesives.
  • Cut materials to precise measurements as required.
  • Identify and remove defective products.
  • Operate machinery for force fitting or fastening tasks on the assembly line.
  • Adapt to various workstations based on production needs.
  • Work in an environment where tasks vary with different product models.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
  • Capability to write basic correspondence.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for presenting information in both individual and small group settings.
  • Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Common sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills for handling standardized situations with concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling or feeling.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds continuously, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

VISION REQUIREMENTS
Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
While performing job duties, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, and vibrations. Noise levels in the work environment are typically loud, and personal protective equipment is required.
