About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient plan of care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine ongoing healthcare needs.
  • Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
  • Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, pre-visit planning, and post-visit follow-up.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills and Additional competencies as defined within the Scope of Practice for AHPG Medical Assistants
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from approved organization
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
