Key Responsibilities of the Operations Support Specialist:

  • Provide essential operational assistance to retail banking clients and bank personnel regarding core and supplementary processing systems, utilizing research and innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Manage and facilitate operations for deposit and electronic banking transactions and products, which include debit/credit cards, online banking, demand deposit accounts, and account discrepancies.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve potential fraudulent activities related to retail products such as debit/credit cards, online banking, and demand deposit accounts.
  • Prepare vital reports for bank management to support decision-making.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and propose improvements to daily tasks and departmental operations.
  • Serve as a backup for Operations teams when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to laws and regulations by maintaining appropriate controls in alignment with Nicolet's principles and policies.
  • Appreciate the importance of workplace diversity and collaborate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or relevant work experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clerical and/or accounting experience is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in banking systems or customer service.
  • Proficiency in personal computers, telephone systems, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong judgment, decision-making, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
