Front Desk Supervisor Job Description

The Aloft Charleston is seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Supervisor to oversee the front desk operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of the hotel team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the front desk, reservations, and guest services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Check-in/Check-out: Ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes for hotel guests.
  • Payment Processing: Process all payments according to hotel requirements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Reporting and Scheduling: Prepare and distribute reports to management, create and manage team member schedules, and ensure timely communication.
  • Team Development: Train and develop front desk staff to meet service standards, promote a positive team-oriented environment, and foster open communication.
  • Representative: Represent the hotel in a professional, knowledgeable, and eloquent manner, ensuring a positive image and reputation.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of front desk supervisor experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Skills: Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of various computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems.
