Through evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, our committed team provides extensive services to many, fostering independence and resilience within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer assistance to individuals referred by local social services who are identified as disconnected from conventional treatment and experiencing housing instability.
  • Facilitate referrals, engage with individuals in their communities, accompany them to various appointments, and provide Narcan training.
  • Provide referrals to medical professionals, law enforcement, and family members as necessary.
  • Share personal recovery experiences to serve as a role model and instill hope.
  • Participate in team meetings, county discussions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Support individuals in planning their next steps towards recovery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and complete necessary documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Peer certification is mandatory or must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must self-identify as an individual with personal experience in substance use disorders or related behavioral health challenges.
  • Ability to leverage lived experience to assist others in their recovery journey.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word.
  • Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driver Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must meet pre-employment clearance requirements as mandated by applicable regulations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Benefits Offered:

  • Salary Range: $18.75/hr - $21.85/hr, determined by departmental budget, qualifications, experience, education, and certifications.
