Ideal Candidate:

As a Part-Time Outside Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to attract new subscribers to Starry by engaging with multi-family residential properties and communities through direct outreach and in-person events.

We seek individuals who are inquisitive, self-driven, confident, and enjoy engaging with others. A positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset are essential, as is the ability to think creatively when faced with challenges.

Our Part-Time Outside Sales Consultants have the potential for unlimited earnings through commissions, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced sales professionals to supplement their income. We provide comprehensive training and resources to ensure our team can achieve and surpass their sales objectives. New hires will receive ongoing mentorship and hands-on experience to build their confidence and refine their sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and inform potential customers about the advantages of Starry by effectively communicating the features and benefits of our internet service, primarily in various neighborhoods.
  • Participate in marketing events as required.
  • Advocate for Starry Internet's revolutionary approach to providing affordable, high-speed, and reliable internet service, emphasizing our commitment to excellent customer service and transparent pricing.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets; identify and address potential sales, product, or customer service issues in collaboration with local teams.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for subscriber acquisition to achieve revenue goals.
  • Respond to and close sales leads on a daily basis.
  • Engage customers with charm and relevance; we prioritize a non-pushy sales approach.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in door-to-door sales is preferred.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor with a willingness to engage with strangers.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to guide consumers in their decision-making process and effectively close sales.
  • Willingness to travel within designated areas.
  • Availability to work scheduled afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Access to reliable transportation for commuting to various work locations.
