Security Specialist

OBXtek is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing support to the Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF) by planning, executing, and conducting recovery operations for exercises and events conducted with allied countries throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

• Administer aspects of DoD, DoE, and industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and industry security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with event hosts for security requirements.
• Develop and maintain security standards and operating procedures for designated events.
• Assist in the revision of established security procedures, checklists, and/or manuals by incorporating lessons learned to prevent spills, losses, and/or violations of security procedures and processes.
• Conduct classification reviews of inbound/outbound correspondence.
• Assist in the maintenance of a document accountability database and associated correspondences.
• Ensure proper destruction of classified and confidential information in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Process electronic media for accountability.
• Support the reproduction of classified materials.
• Assist in the processing of inbound data and outbound transfer files.
• Transfer electronic data files to internal and external customers.
• Maintain a point of contact listing for supporting organizations.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain Entry Access Lists (EAL) for organizational events.
• Assist with researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit notices.
• Escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs.
• Assist in the preparation of facility access control badges.
• Conduct entry and exit inspections.
• Assist in the maintenance of facility access control systems, to include visitor control.
• Perform data entry to the Personnel Access Security System database and maintain all customer-sponsored billets and quota information.
• Assist in maintaining personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element.
• Provide security awareness training for all cleared personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of the program, including personnel, physical, and administrative security systems, and procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the NH Team lead or On-site lead.
• Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.
• Participate in USAF SAP security compliance inspections of government organizations and industry.
• Implement Top Secret Control for accountable material and associated correspondence.
• Prepare and/or process inbound and outbound classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
• Prepare, process, and/or review Program Access Requests (PAR) for accuracy and access eligibility and coordinate cross-COCOM clearance transmissions.
• Execute Special Access Program (SAP) Nomination Process Questionnaires.
• Conduct Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access.
• Perform data entry and record checks in JADE and maintain all customer-sponsored personnel access information currency.
• Perform indoctrinations and debriefings for ACCM and SAP.
• Coordinate Collateral, SCI, and SAP visit requests for Foreign National Partners participating in events.
• Track and manage personnel briefed/debriefed to ACCM in support of NH activities.
• Manage facets of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program, including physical, personnel, information, or industrial security.
• Ensure all equipment entering the facility is authorized prior to entry.
• Ensure all visitors are signed in/out of the facility; file visitor logs for 90 days.
• Inspect the SF-701, Activity Security Checklist/End of Day Checklist, and ensure it is completed daily.
• Conduct and document random searches/inspections monthly.
• Accomplish Self-Inspection Checklist annually and file in the SCIF folder.
• Test Emergency Action Plans and document annually; file plan in SCIF folder.
• Conduct and document an Alarm/Guard response test in conjunction with PACAF/A2SP and Security Forces every 6 months.
• Ensure all shredders, phones, and alarm/IDS are approved by the PACAF SSO.
• Ensure all SCIF personnel are familiar with alarm authentication procedures/codes.
• Report all security incidents.
• Monitor and report violations of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) and Cell phones.
• Update FFC/TEMPEST Addendum as needed and submit to the PACAF SSO.
• Ensure all SCI personnel participate in Security Awareness Education Programs.

• TOP SECRET/Special Compartment Indoctrination clearance.
• SAP/STO and ACCM eligible.
• Favorable clearance adjudication meeting SCI/SAP eligibility standard without condition, deviation, or waiver within the past 12 months or had a satisfactory review based on the current Standard Form (SF) 86, Questionnaire for National Security Positions submitted for most recent personal security investigation.
• Subject to a random CI-scope polygraph examination.
• Complete a DoD-approved SAP program indoctrination and non-disclosure agreement.
• Have at least 10 years of rated experience in fighter/bomber aircraft or ISR aircraft or Air Battle Management.
• Familiar with Nellis AFB operations, USAF Warfare Center organizations, and Nevada Test & Training Range (NTTR) infrastructure.
• Have recent (within the last 5 years) experience with tactical aircraft operations and exercise and experiment coordination and execution.
• Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) or operation contingency planning experience.
• Strong background in Special Access Programs.
• STO Planning experience.
• USAF Weapons Instructor Course or Navy Top Gun graduate.
• Familiar with military experimentation experience.
• Operational knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning and Execution System.
• Successfully completed the IJSTO Planning and Decision Aide System users course.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a MAJCOM or higher-level command staff.
• Must have working knowledge of SCIF management with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Must have experience working with Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and a self-starting personality.
• Able to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
• Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
• Good analytical skills and able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Provide briefings to Senior Officers in person, via VTC, and/or in writing on ongoing theater operations, planning issues, and exercises.
• Conduct liaison with national-level agencies, DoD, Services, Combatant Commands, and intelligence agencies.
• Provide system-specific training to assigned PACAF STO cleared personnel.
• Routinely evaluate SAP capabilities for OPLAN integration, providing briefings to senior officials within the command and external agencies on technical and operational aspects of special access programs and capabilities.
• Serve as a focal point for STO activities and documentation regarding mission changes, technology, and other impacts on special access programs and plans.
• Monitor, review, and evaluate staff inputs, and coordinate outside the organization for the purpose of planning and organizing efforts, resolving problems that transcend various management disciplines, exchanging experiences, advising on professional matters, and organizational effectiveness.
