ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team at our Eglin AFB location. The Network Security Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and develop solutions to complex technical issues that arise during daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new solutions to keep our network evolving and forward-looking.
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 technical support for network testing and operations.
  • Manage and maintain our local test environment, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, and VOIP phones.
  • Create detailed documentation and diagrams for all projects and network changes.
  • Attend meetings to discuss project status and network changes.
  • Maintain and update firewall policies with multiple vendors.
  • Identify and explore training opportunities to benefit both the lab and operations center.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for resources, quotes, and training.
  • Work with security teams to ensure compliance with STIGs and implement security measures.
  • Manage and maintain servers related to network management in a Hyper-V environment.
  • Work with datacenter network technology, including Nexus switches and vPC.
  • Develop and implement changes involving firewalls, routers, switches, TACLANES, Solarwinds, GEM One, and Hyper-V.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct or related experience in information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware.
  • Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching technologies, as well as virtualization technologies.
  • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, data backup technologies, and communication security policies.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy.
  • Experience providing technical support in a customer service role.
  • Experience applying industry standards and best practices in an enterprise-level Windows system environment.
  • Experience solving complex technical problems quickly and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes.
  • Working knowledge of WSUS and/or YUM patch deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.

Security Clearance:

  • Active/Current Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to submit to a polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
