Job Description

Job Title: Security Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

OBXtek is seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Specialist to support our clients in the Indo-Pacific region. As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and conducting recovery operations for exercises and events conducted with allied countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Physical Security: Ensure the physical security posture of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and train all personnel assigned to the facility.
  • Security Administration: Administer aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and industry security policies and procedures.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate with event hosts for security requirements and develop and maintain security standards and operating procedures for designated events.
  • Security Clearance Processing: Assist in the revision of established security procedures, checklists, and/or manuals by incorporating lessons learned to prevent spills, losses, and/or violations of security procedures and processes.
  • Classification Reviews: Conduct classification reviews of inbound/outbound correspondence and assist in the maintenance of a document accountability database and associated correspondences.
  • Information Destruction: Ensure proper destruction of classified and confidential information in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Accountability: Ensure all equipment entering the facility is authorized prior to entry.
  • Visitor Management: Ensure all visitors are signed in/out of the facility and file visitor logs for 90 days.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct and document random searches/inspections monthly, accomplish Self-Inspection Checklist annually, and test Emergency Action Plans and document annually.
  • Security Awareness: Provide security awareness training for all cleared personnel and ensure compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical, and administrative security systems, and procedures.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Report all security incidents and monitor and report violations of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) and Cell phones.

Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in fighter/bomber aircraft or ISR aircraft operations, or Air Battle Management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and multitasking skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a self-starting personality.
  • Certifications: SAP/STO and ACCM eligible.
